Prior to this Barb worked for SR Sheth & Co in Sydney and dealt primarily in audit administration for Workcover NSW and associated insurance companies. Throughout her career, she has developed skills in bookkeeping, customer service and administration. This has been especially relevant in her role with SHG when working with clients and colleagues.
Amongst her experience in bookkeeping and administration, Barb’s work has required her to process bookkeeping for key clients and the firm, prepare tax returns, payroll duties, and relieve as receptionist when necessary.
Barb has a sunny personality and a strong sense of humor. She loves dogs and enjoys boxing and walking.

Alex, a Senior Tax Accountant, has 17 years of professional experience in both commercial and professional accounting. He specialises in accounting, taxation and superannuation and contributes to the professional environment at Stanway Humble Goode by offering knowledgeable advice and working closely with his clients.
Alex has been a member of staff at Stanway Humble Goode (SHG) since 2007. Immediately prior to this, Alex worked for a boutique accounting practice as the Client Manager where he managed a portfolio of clientele from diverse sectors. Alex has developed skills in effective interpersonal communication, client management, technical research and forward planning which has been especially relevant when dealing with technically complex and challenging cases.
Alex’s work has required him to provide customised solutions to meet his client’s needs and expectations which he has achieved through the provision of proactive and timely advice, by assisting clients in making the right decisions to achieve their financial and life goals and delivering ongoing strategic tax planning, compliance and superannuation services to a diverse range of clients. Alex has also participated in the mentoring program with CPA Australia on a pro bono basis, sharing knowledge and insight while supporting prospective CPAs in achieving their practical experience requirements and ongoing professional development.
Alex is a graduate of the University of South Australia with majors in accounting, banking and finance. He has completed his Public Practice Certificate and Dip in Financial Services studies both from CPA Australia. In his spare time, Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing table tennis and badminton and building his stamp collection.

Kathy is a Senior Tax Manager and has over 30 years experience in taxation and accounting. Kathy specialises in small to medium sized family businesses management, medical tax law and property management. She contributes to the professional environment at Stanway Humble Goode through her proficient and thorough approach to her work.
Kathy has been an active member of staff at Stanway Humble Goode (SHG) since 2008. During her time at SHG, she has shown a special interest in superannuation which has benefited her role with SHG to the point where she is involved with the compliance of a large proportion of our SMSF clients.
Kathy’s expertise in accounting, taxation and financial planning has allowed her to interact with clients on a frequent basis. Kathy always acts in the best interests of her clients, and it is through this work ethic that she has built lasting business relationships with many of them. In the quiet season, before the start of a new Financial Year, she prepares tax planning strategies and assists her clients with their implementation process. Kathy also likes to keep up to date during this time by regularly attending conferences and reading tax related articles from magazines such as the National Tax and Accountants Association (NTAA).
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the South Australian Institute of Technology, a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) from CPA Australia and is a member of CPA. She likes to keep active by playing social golf, gardening and walking in her spare time.

Mary, senior tax accountant, has 17 years of professional experience in South Australian taxation, specializing in small to medium sized business and primary production. She has been a welcome addition to the Stanway Humble Goode team and contributes to our professional environment through her enthusiastic and flexible attitude and creative outlook.
Mary has been a member of staff at Stanway Humble Goode (SHG) since 2014 when she adeptly took over the client base of a previous staff member. Prior to this, Mary was Art director and owner of Juxtapose Studios, a local Adelaide art gallery for 7 years, while also contracting and working for various tax firms both in the Adelaide CBD area and in parts of regional South Australia. During her time with SHG, Mary has enjoyed working alongside positive and bright staff and developing her skills in implementing a new cloud based tax software BGL 360, and also expanding her managerial skills and providing support to fellow staff members. This has been especially relevant during her transition in roles with SHG.
Mary’s expertise in taxation includes handing tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnership, trusts and superfunds as well as offering general advice on corporate tax. She was also awarded most Creative and Innovative Business in SA from Nova FM and Brand South Australia during her time as Art Director of Juxtapose Studios.
Mary holds an Advanced Diploma of Accounting from TAFE SA. In her spare time, she likes to explore SA’s local produce and sample great food and wine.

Sally, a Senior Tax Accountant, has over 20 years of professional experience in accounting, tax and South Australian tax law. Sally specialises in small to large sized businesses and self managed super funds, and contributes to the professional environment at Stanway Humble Goode with her positive outlook and friendly manner.
Sally has been a member of staff at Stanway Humble Goode (SHG) since 2001. Prior to this, Sally worked for 2 other small accounting firms and dealt primarily with personal taxation and small to medium sized companies and trusts. During her time with SHG, Sally has developed skills in self managed superannuation funds and implementing tax law. This has been especially relevant in her role with SHG when working with clients who have their own self managed superannuation funds or business.
Amongst her expertise in accounting and tax, Sally’s work has required her to develop strong relationships with SHG clients and increase her knowledge of self managed superannuation funds.
Sally holds an Advanced Diploma of Accounting (TAFE), a Master of Commerce (Public Accounting) and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA). She enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family and socializing with friends in her spare time.
